GIIAS 30th, Gaikindo Hopes President And Minister Can Attend Opening Events
JAKARTA - Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023 is one of the largest automotive events in Southeast Asia. This year, GIIAS celebrated its 30th performance since it was first held in 1986.
In this historic moment, Gaikindo invited all parties to visit GIIAS 2023 and see vehicles with the latest features. Not only the general public, Gaikindo also invited the government and the cabinet to attend the event, which will take place at ICE BSD, Tangerang.
Yohannes Nangoi, the general chairman of Gaikindo, revealed that they had invited ministers to support and help invite the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, to attend the opening of the GIIAS 2023 on August 10, 2023.
"We also received support from the ministers to help invite the President of the Republic of Indonesia to attend the opening. Several ministers have also confirmed their presence," said Nangoi during a press conference at JW Marriott, Kuningan, Jakarta, on Thursday, July 13.
Gaikindo wants to involve the ranks of ministers and the President of the Republic of Indonesia to show how important this automotive industry is to Indonesia's economic growth. Gaikindo's efforts are in line with the government's vision.
"As we all know, Gaikindo and the government want to develop several main things, the first is to advance domestic products," said Nangoi.

Nangoi also highlighted Indonesia's achievements in the automotive industry, where this country is ranked 11th in motor vehicle production in the world. China ranks first.
"The Coordinating Minister (Airlangga Hartanto) hopes that Indonesia can enter the top 10 motor vehicle producing countries," added Nangoi.
With this impressive achievement, Indonesia has the potential to increase exports by utilizing its geographical location. Increasing exports is very possible.
