Vice President Ma'ruf Amin Will Launch A Strategic Program In West Papua

MANOKWARI - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin will launch a number of national strategic programs in three districts in West Papua Province, namely Fakfak, Bintuni Bay, and Manokwari.

"According to schedule, the Vice President arrived at Fakfak on July 14, 2023, the next day he went to Bintuni Bay and then to Manokwari," said Assistant II of the West Papua Regional Secretariat (Setda) Melkias Werinussa in Manokwari, reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 10.

He explained the agenda for Vice President Ma'ruf Amin's working visit to Fakfak in the context of inaugurating the management of nutmeg fruit, then inaugurating an infrastructure project in Bintuni Bay whose funding is sourced from the State Budget.

After that, the Vice President inaugurated three national strategic programs in Manokwari, namely the construction of the Sanggeng modern market, the Bolarsi green open space, and the replanting of palm oil.

"The Vice President plans to also attend the PGGP conference in Manokwari, and the inauguration of the Autumeri Teluk Wondama Bible distribution site," said Melkias.

He explained that the provincial and district governments had held meetings with the TNI/Polri, in order to prepare all needs during the working visit of Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.

To secure the working visit of Vice President Ma'ruf Amin to three districts in West Papua, it will be coordinated by the XVIII/Kasuari Regional Military Command (Kodam).

"We have had meetings together three times. Preparations are 100 percent," explained Melkias.

After launching a number of strategic programs in West Papua, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin made a working visit to Sorong, Southwest Papua Province.

"After the agenda in West Papua is complete, on July 15, 2023, the Vice President will fly to Sorong," he said.
