The Attorney General's Office Confiscates Land, Shares And Money Assets From The Convicts Jiwasraya Benny Tjokro And Heru Hidayat

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) confiscated execution assets in the form of land, shares and money belonging to the convict in the financial management corruption case and investment funds of PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) for the period 2008-2018 on behalf of the convicts Benny Tjokrosaputro and Heru Hidayat.

Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) AGO I Ketut Sumedana said the confiscation of the execution of the two convicts was carried out from the period 2022 to 2023.

For the convict Benny Tjokrosaputro, the assets confiscated for execution included 2,031 plots of land covering an area of 14,356,860 square meters or 1,435.68 hectares, shares worth Rp. 96.75 billion, which is 25 percent of PT Mandiri Mega Jaya's shares in PT Putra Asih Laksana.

"Then today, the execution was confiscated in the form of cash worth Rp. 8,216 billion," said Ketut in his statement, Thursday, July 6, quoted by Antara.

He explained that the cash worth Rp. 8.216 billion was the result of the final dividend for the 2022 financial year from the confiscation of PT Mandiri Mega Jaya's shares as much as 25 percent of the total share ownership in PT Putra Asih Laksana or Rp. 96.75 billion which was confiscated on February 16, 2023.

"For the confiscation of the cash, the prosecutor for the executor of the Central Jakarta District Attorney (Kejari) immediately deposited it into the state treasury as the first installment of the replacement money payment in the case," said Ketut.

Then from the convict Heru Hidayat, the executor prosecutor confiscated 17 plots of land covering an area of 130,035 square meters or 13 hectares and shares worth Rp1.945 trillion which were shares of PT Gunung Bara Utama.

Ketut added that the confiscation of execution of assets belonging to the convicts Benny Tjokrosaputro and Heru Hidayat was carried out in a criminal case of corruption in financial management and investment funds by PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) for the 2008-2018 period.

The execution of the confiscation of the execution was based on the Cassation Decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 2937 K/Pid.Sus/2021 dated August 24, 2021, on behalf of the convict Benny Tjokrosaputro, and Supreme Court Decision Number: 2931 K/Pid.Sus/2021 dated August 24, 2021 on behalf of the convict Heru Hidayat.
