Officially Join Manchester United, Mason Mount Warisi Number Cristiano Ronaldo
JAKARTA - The process of transferring Mason Mount from Chelsea to Manchester United has finally been completed. The England national team player became the Red Devils' first signing in the transfer market this summer.
Mount was bought by Manchester United with a dowry of 55 million, plus 5 million. He was tied to a contract until 2028. "Mason Mount has joined Manchester United on a contract until June 2028, with the option of an extension for one year," Manchester United said in a statement on the club's official website on Wednesday, July 5. "Mason Mount will certainly wear the number 7 at his new club, which has been vacant since late last year after being left by Cristiano Ronaldo.Mount actually still leaves another year's contract at Chelsea. However, he left Chelsea after appearing 279 times, scoring 58 goals and 53 assists since breaking into Chelsea's senior team in 2017. With the Blues, he has won the Champions League (2020/21), UEFA Super Cup (2021), and Club World Cup (2021).
