Wow! 18 Political Parties Haven't Completed The Capaleg Files Requirements In North Sumatra

The General Election Commission (KPU) of North Sumatra (North Sumatra) revealed that no political party has met the requirements for the completeness of the legislative candidate for the 2024 General Election (Pemilu). There are only 13 bahalegs that meet the requirements of the files received by the North Sumatra KPU.

Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) of North Sumatra, Herdensi, said that his party had handed over the files back to political parties for improvement.

Political parties have until July 9, 2023 to repair the proposed balaleg file.

"Most of the 100 registered candidates are only 13 people who meet the requirements of each political party that we receive the files. Political parties please make improvements first," he said.

He said there were several file errors that occurred, namely the documents uploaded in the form of original documents, while what was requested was a legalized copy photo.

"Some of these mistakes are mostly about diploma documents whose legality is not in accordance with the provisions. They only pursue completeness, not validity. Even though what is uploaded according to the PKPU Law is photocopies of diplomas that are legalized," he said.
