Polda Metro Investigates Case Of Leaked Documents, KPK: Whoever The Perpetrator Is Must Be Responsible
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) respects the investigation process of the Polda Metro Jaya on the alleged leak of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources investigation documents. This institution will cooperate in following the ongoing legal process.
"Of course the KPK appreciates the law enforcement process by the Polda Metro Jaya," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters at the KPK's Red and White House, Kuningan Persada, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 20.
Ali said the alleged leak had to be thoroughly investigated. "Whoever the perpetrator is must then be legally accountable," he said.
Previously, the Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto stated that he had found the criminal investigation behind the investigation into the alleged leak of investigation documents at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
Meanwhile, in this case Polda Metro Jaya received more than 10 police reports (LP). In that case, it is said that the name of KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri was dragged.
"Yes, indeed, after the initial examination, several parties were clarified, we have indeed found a criminal incident," Karyoto told reporters, Tuesday, June 20.

The criminal element found was the leaking of the KPK investigation process related to allegations of corruption at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. This is because the parties who are the targets of the investigation already know the legal steps being taken by the anti-corruption agency.
"That there is information that we have obtained that it turns out that the information is still in the process of being investigated at the KPK, there are parties who are being targeted rather than the investigation," said Karyoto.
"This means that items that were previously confidential became not secret when they were held by the parties who were the object of the investigation," he continued.
