After Indonesia, MPV Toyota Is Ready To Beat Malaysia

JAKARTA - UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT), Malaysia's leading provider of Toyota cars, recently released an attractive teaser from Toyota Innova Zenix, one of its flagship MPVs.

On Wednesday, June 21, this much-anticipated car will be officially launched after previously being caught on camera using a transport truck across the Malaysian highway. This interesting news was revealed by Paultan, a trusted automotive site, on Monday, June 19.

Malaysia will follow in the footsteps of Indonesia, which launched the third generation of Innova in November last year. However, UMWT has not provided complete details on this mysterious MPV, making fans even more curious.

To give an idea, in Indonesia, this car is named Kijang Innova Zenix which offers two choices of Dynamic Force machines with extraordinary performance.

The first option is a hybrid variant equipped with a 2.0 liter M20A-FXS 4-cylinder naturally-asspirated gasoline engine which produces 149 dk of power and 187 Nm of torque. This machine is combined with an electric motor with 111 dk and a 205 Nm torque. The total resulting combination power reaches 183 dk.

The second option is a variant of a gasoline engine with an M20A-FKS 2.0 liter engine which has a power of 171 dk and a torque of 205 Nm. These two variants will be equipped with a CVT transmission for gasoline and e-CVT variants for the hybrid variant.

UMWT provides a multi-path approach by providing a hybrid variant of Innova Zenix, as their effort to achieve the goal of carbon neutrality. In addition, potential buyers have the freedom to choose which variant fits their needs and preferences.

In terms of interior, the specifications offered in Indonesia include a 10-inch dual back entertainment display, a panoramic roof, and Toyota Safety Sense advanced safety features.

Built on the GA-C platform of the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA), Innova Zenix has a dimensions of 4,755 mm, a width of 1,860 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,850 mm, providing a wide space and comfort for passengers.

Although the price for the Malaysian market has not been announced, as an illustration in Indonesia, the MPV, which is a competitor to the Hyundai Stargazer, is priced from IDR 423 million to IDR 471 million. Meanwhile, the hybrid variant is available at prices ranging from IDR 464 million to IDR 617 million.
