BPOM Batam Ensures Easing Issuance Of Circular Permits For MSME Products
The Batam Food and Drug Supervisory Center (POM), Riau Islands ensures that it provides convenience for the issuance of distribution permits for processed food products for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).Head of Balai POM Batam Musthofa Anwari said, to obtain a distribution permit from BPOM only needed to follow several processes. For now, there is nothing difficult, because now there is an NIB (Business Identification Number) to make it easier to obtain distribution permits. So the process is the first for business actors, of course, they must have an NPWP (Taxpayer Basic Number), only after that register NIB from the One Stop Integrated Service Service (PTSP),” he said in Batam, Antara, Tuesday, May 30.After getting the NIB from PTSP, he said, the process was easy to obtain a distribution permit from BPOM. Likewise for the household industry, only through two procedures, namely licensing from PTSP and internal food permits (MD) from BPOM.“After that, only from us is the e-certification which is used to obtain certification of Good Processed Food Production Methods (CPPOB). It's through all applications, through e-registration,” he said.He explained that after business actors get these permits, especially for food processing that is at low risk of Service Level Agreement (service level agreement) can be completed in one day."So if for example what is taken care of is low-risk food processing, that's one day of SLA. In the past it could take days, even months, ” he said.Musthofa said the ease of obtaining the permit, because based on the mandate of the Job Creation Act, not all of these products will now be classified based on risk.
“ So low-risk food processing, no need to go through testing anymore. For example, chips from tubers, they can immediately get a distribution permit number, ” he said.
