Government Prepares Golden Visa To Boost Quality Tourists
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno revealed that President Joko Widodo together with ministers had discussed the policy so that foreign tourists (tourists) who came to Indonesia had quality and stayed longer.
"We just discussed with the President and the Coordinating Minister that we will issue a policy so that foreign tourists stay long, have a higher quality and have an economic impact on the Indonesian people, and the question of how to improve quality (tourism), one of which is through the implementation of gold visas," Sandiaga said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 29.
The visa golden policy is currently being finalized and in the final stages, Sandiaga said that in the next few weeks or months it would be announced that Indonesia would launch a visa with a long-term stay for foreign tourists, namely a stay of 5-10 years.
This visa with a long life for foreign tourists is also expected to encourage digital entrepreneurship and will improve the quality of foreign tourists who come to the country.
In addition, it is hoped that it will be able to attract investment, not only from property investment, but also other investments that create jobs.

This visa golden approach is also targeted for tourists who have sufficient savings, one of which is for foreign tourists who want to live in Bali during winter, so they can take advantage of this visa.
Another target is business actors in the field of technology who will invest in Indonesia, as well as talents in the health sector who have graduated from school and have worked experience.
"Thirdly, for talents in sustainable fields, for example health, we can attract them to finish school and get their work experience to help improve the quality of our human resources," he explained.
