Ahead Of The ASEAN 2023 Summit In Jakarta, The Ministry Of PUPR Will Revitalize The JCC
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) is ready to revitalize the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) as a venue for the ASEAN Plus 2023 Summit in Jakarta in September.
"For the revitalization of the JCC venue in relation to the preparation of the ASEAN Plus 2023 Summit," said Spokesperson for the Ministry of PUPR Endra S Atmawidjaja, in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Saturday, May 27.
Endra added that the revitalization is ready to be carried out in the next week or two.
"What has been changed is only the JCC because it will be used as a venue for the ASEAN Plus Summit, we only have four months to renovate buildings, repair landscapes, parking lots for VVIP," he said again.
The JCC revitalization was carried out to support the ASEAN Plus 2023 Summit which will be attended not only by ASEAN member countries, but also with ASEAN partners.
Previously, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) together with the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemenlu) and related institutions made various preparations to finalize and ensure that the ASEAN 2023 Summit series went smoothly.
Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono said that his party plans to deploy school children to enliven the event and welcome the arrival of delegates in Jakarta.
In addition, the DKI Provincial Government has also carried out various preparations for organizing a series of ASEAN Summits in Jakarta such as mutual cooperation, cross-sectoral cooperation including road repairs, street lighting carried out by the Bina Marga Office, and traffic regulation carried out by the Transportation Service.

Secretary General of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemenlu) Cecep Herawan explained, as many as 36 countries and various international organizations will attend the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting (AMM)/Post Ministerial Meetings (PMC).
