The Case Of Thugs Damaged By Residents' Houses Beside The Jatinegara Police Turns Out To Be A Land Dispute Problem, Handled By Polda Metro Jaya
JAKARTA - Jatinegara Police Chief Kompol Entong Raharja explained that his party had mediated between a group of thugs who damaged the fence of a resident's house right next to the Jatinegara Police.
"The thugs along with those who occupy the land have made mediation efforts. We have carried out mediation between thugs and Apin (the owner of the house) at the Polsek," said Kompol Entong when confirmed, Tuesday, May 23.
The police chief also confirmed the whereabouts of a group of thugs. However, his party did not secure the thugs who intimidated the residents because the land case was handled by the Polda Metro Jaya.
"Regarding the viral video that is developing, it is true that what is called thugs do exist. Regarding the handling of cases, it is not the domain of the Jatinegara Police, but the current handling at Polda Metro Jaya," he said.
Furthermore, Kompol Entong said that the thugs suspected of receiving orders by those occupying the land (Apin's house) had been mediated.
"We have mediated. They agreed and agreed. Meanwhile, the case and evidence of land ownership are still being investigated by the Polda Metro Jaya," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the house of a resident of RT 04/12, Bidara Cina Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta was visited by a number of thugs. The unknown people carried out damage to the fence padlock of the owner of the house.
According to Apin, the owner of the house, the vandalism incident carried out by a group of thugs occurred on Thursday.
"It happened at 06.00 WIB when I opened the door to find out they were already inside the house. They brought a crowbar, the lock was pryed out," Apin said when confirmed, Monday, May 22.
Apin added, even though he had reported the damage he experienced to the Jatinegara Metro Police, the report was not responded to. Dozens of thugs still enter and occupy their homes.
