Police Handle Allegations Of Illegal Oil Exploration Of Old Wells In Blora
SEMARANG - Police are handling a case of alleged illegal oil drilling in a number of old wells in Ledok Field, Sambong District, Blora Regency, Central Java, which is thought to have taken place in the last 5 years.
"Mining management is not well managed in our opinion," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Central Java Police, Kombes Dwi Subagio, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, May 20.
According to him, in Ledok Field there are 197 drilling points.
Drilling in the area should be a collaboration between Pertamina and one of the BUMDs in Blora Regency
"However, in practice it is carried out by its derivatives, the fourth party," he said.
Production of crude oil from the drilling point, he continued, should have reached 20 tons per month.

As a result of improper management, he said, there were activities that did not provide additional income for the local area.
