Paul Di'Ano Cemoo Phantom Of The Opera Version Ghost: It Hurts!
JAKARTA - Former Iron Maiden vocalist Paul Di'Ano ridiculed Iron Maiden's Phantom of the song Phantom of the Opera cover version. He said the song was "very annoying".
The Phantom of the Opera song performed by Ghost was available earlier this week as a preview of the band's EP (mini album) Phantomime.
In this EP, the Swedish occult rock unit also performed the songs Jesus He Knows Me from Genesis, See No Evil from Television, Hanging Around from The Stranglers, and We Don't Need Another Hero (Thunderdome) from Tina Turner.
On May 16, the same day that Ghost's version of the Phantom of the Opera was available, Di'Ano - who sang on Iron Maiden's original album from the song, took to Facebook to express his disappointment. However, the post has now been deleted.

The vocalist whose real name is Paul Andrews then added a series of vomiting emojis, as can be seen in the screenshot below, belonging to The Metal Voice.
Di'Ano recorded two classic albums with Iron Maiden - self-titled in 1980 and Killers in 1981 before being sacked and replaced by Bruce Dickinson.
He then appeared on the front lines of a number of other bands, including Killers and Battlezone, and released several solo recordings.
