Release EP Believes, Prinsa Mandagie Wants To Tell Her Love Story Through Music

JAKARTA - After starting his singing career since 2017, Prinsa Mandagie released her first extended plays (EP) entitled Believe. Through this EP, the singer who was born in Bandung wants to show her existence as one of the young female singers in the Indonesian music industry.

Prinsa Mandagie presents four new songs in her first EP, namely Believe, It's Useless, Complicated, and Love and Time. Prinsa herself took part in the cultivation of the first three songs mentioned.

The 23-year-old singer said that her first EP was something personal. It's useless, the EP title track tells about infidelity.

"The useless song is really my song. It raises about infidelity. If you are in a relationship, realizing that you are not aware of cheating, it makes the relationship complicated," said Prinsa Mandagie at a press conference in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, last Monday.

On three other songs, Prinsa admitted that she had her own story with these songs, such as feelings when she was heartbroken and had a toxic relationship. He wanted to share his story through music with other women who also had a similar experience.

"I want to invite friends of women who feel what I've felt to realize that we have value, don't want to be underestimated," said Prinsa.

On the other hand, Fafa Didin, who participated in writing four songs in the EP, expressed his concern when he found out that Prinsa wanted to reveal her love story through songs. He felt that the singer did not need to reopen the wounds she had suffered. However, after further discussions, finally four songs were produced within 2 months.

"Prinsa is not complicated, she knows what she wants. In cultivating this EP, she also has no trouble because she is cooperative," said Fafa.

Meanwhile, Marco Steffiano, who acted as a producer in three songs from EP Believes he can return to work with Prinsa. He said Prinsa's character, which was quite open, helped him bring the best touch in the song.

"It's just good (to work with Prinsa), the tech is not complicated. He's open enough to convey what he wants," concluded Marco Steffiano.

Prinsa Mandagie's four newest songs from EP Believe can be heard on digital music platforms starting May 18.
