Carrying Hybrid Machines, The Latest Honda CR-V Ready To Compete With Toyota RAV4

JAKARTA - CR-V is Honda's flagship product from the SUV segment. To continue this tradition, this Japanese manufacturer released its sixth generation, All-New Honda CR-V.

The latest CR-V is refined in various aspects. Honda offers a revolutionary latest design, as well as incorporating advanced features for incredible convenience.

"All-New CR-V is built on all iconic models. With progressive designs, premium cabins, advanced safety levels in class, practicality, and comfort, as well as efficient and responsive performance," said Tom Gardner, Vice President of Honda Motor Europe Ltd in his official statement.

Comes with a distinctive form of CR-V, this latest SUV comes with a thin headlamp with the latest daytime lights that can produce maximum lighting. Then on the back, Honda combines vertical brake lights and sein lights which are the smart evolutions of the previous CR-V backlight design.

Other updates are lower forepoints. With a wider hood shape, it allows drivers to get better visibility. It is also supported by a larger windshield making it easier for drivers to see the forward view more clearly.

For the kitchen runway, the rival from Toyota RAV4 comes with two hybrid variants, namely e:PHEV and e:HEV. Both variants will be equipped with a revised 2.0 liter four cylindrical Atkinson cycle engine so that efficiency increases including performance.

However, what distinguishes the e:PHEV variant from e:HEV, is that e:PHEV has a light electric motor with a distance of 82 km in electric mode. The battery charging performance is also impressive to charge from 0 to 100 percent within 2.5 hours when the battery temperature reaches 25 degrees.

As for the e:HeV variant, it is equipped with two compact electric motors, planted with lithium-ion batteries, and combined with gasoline engines that can switch smoothly between EVs, Hybrids, and engine drivers.

Not to forget, Honda embeds an updated "Honda SENSING 360" flagship feature. This feature is useful for safety and helps drivers to see all sides around the vehicle until blind points to avoid accidents.

Honda hasn't announced the price yet, but the All-New CR-V will arrive at the European market by the end of 2023.
