The Man Who Raped 5 Children In Aceh Jaya Was Threatened With 200 Cambuk Sentences Or A Fine Of 2,000 Grams Of Gold
The Aceh Jaya Police have arrested F (53), a suspected perpetrator of sexual harassment and rape of five minors in the local district.
"We arrested the perpetrator of the alleged criminal act of sexual harassment and rape of a minor on the basis of reports from the victim's parents," said Aceh Jaya Police Chief AKBP Yudi Wiyono as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 10.
The five victims of these minors are still between the age of 6 and 8 years. They are neighbors of the alleged perpetrators themselves.
Yudi Wiyono said the alleged criminal case of sexual harassment and rape was revealed based on reports from the victim's parents on Thursday (4/2).
The basis of the report was then developed until it finally led to one of the men who was strongly suspected of being the culprit.
"From the results of the initial examination that became victims, it turned out that five minors were between 6 and 8 years old," he said.
Based on the results of the development, he said, the act was in the period from January to February 2023 at the perpetrator's coffee shop (warkop) kitchen.
Currently, investigators have confiscated evidence in the form of one navy blue shorts, one shorts shirt with short sleeves, and one black underwear.
After holding a case on Saturday (6/5), with the fulfillment of two sufficient pieces of evidence, the alleged perpetrator was named a suspect and detained for the next 20 days.
"The perpetrator is subject to Article 50 in conjunction with Article 47 of Aceh Qanun Number 6 of 2014 concerning Jinayat Law with a maximum threat of 200 lashes or a maximum fine of 2,000 grams of pure gold or a maximum prison sentence of 200 months," he said.
