Provisional Standings For 2023 SEA Games Medals: Indonesia Overtaken By Thailand
JAKARTA - Indonesia's position in the standings for the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games medals has been shifted. The Red and White team is no longer in second place which is now being taken over by Thailand.
The Red and White Contingent and the White Elephant Country team both collected 16 gold medals. On Sunday, May 7, Indonesia added eight gold, while Thailand added nine gold on the second day of the 2023 SEA Games.
Indonesia's gold medal was also contributed through the sport of cycling to contribute gold in the Mixed Estafet Cross Country Relay (XCR) number. Vovinam Manik Athlete Trisna Dewi Wetan again presented gold.
Pencak silat, hockey, karate and swimming sports also add gold.
Pencak silat Indonesia won two gold medals in two artistic numbers at once, namely the artistic women's singles number and the artistic men's team number.
The men's indoor hockey team and karateka Sandi Firmansyah, which competed in the men's individual committee number (-84 kg), contributed gold to Indonesia.
Likewise, swimmers I Gede Siman Sudartawa and Masniari Wolf successfully married gold medals in the men's and women's 50 meters backstroke.
Indonesia also added four silver and 15 bronze on Sunday. However, the total number of medals for the Red and White national team was not more than Thailand.
