Police Process Post-Business Crime Scene At Kilometer 4 Toboli Parigi That Killed 3 People
PARIGI - Parigi Moutong Resort Police (Polres), Central Sulawesi, conducted a crime scene (TKP) for a bus traffic accident that went into a ravine at Kilometer 4 Toboli."The purpose of processing the crime scene is part of the investigation that caused the Rappang Marannu bus with police number DP 7604 KA to fall into a ravine," said Parigi Moutong Police Chief AKBP Yudy Arto Wiyono when contacted from Palu, Antara, Thursday, May 4.According to him, his party has not been able to confirm whether this single accident was purely due to a failed brake. Therefore, it is necessary to take investigative steps to obtain accurate information.During the crime scene processing, the police made observations of the used vehicle tires on the asphalt to measure the depth of the ravine, including checking in detail the components of the bus carcass."We have formed a team in handling this incident," he said.The Parigi Moutong Police have coordinated with the Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of the Central Sulawesi Police, the Transportation Service regarding the feasibility test for buses, and Jasa Raharja regarding insurance for the heirs' families.He added that after the unfortunate incident, the bus carcass had not been evacuated from the bottom of the ravine because the police were still coordinating with the related Otobus Company (PO) considering that the evacuation process needed special equipment."It takes a special crane because the ravine is deep enough and this takes time. Efforts are made to carry out the evacuation process as soon as possible so that it does not become a public spectacle or in terms of bus security so that no components are lost," said Yudy.From this incident, three victims died on behalf of Muhamad Rizky Pratama, a resident from Riau Province, Gustian Erlangga from Palembang, South Sumatra Province, and Muhamad Fathir from Manado, North Sulawesi.The three bodies were picked up by their respective families at the Bhayangkara Hospital, Central Sulawesi Police for burial in their area of origin.
Bus belonging to PT Rappang Marannu brought 29 interns from Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor, Ponorogo Regency, East Java, to Darussalam Gontor Modern Pondok Campus 11 Ittihadul Ummah, Poso Regency.
