Get Ready! Kwikku Writing Competition Again Held With A Prize Of IDR 500 Million

JAKARTA - Kwikku again held the third Kwikku Writing Competition in 2023. This time, the winner will receive a total prize of 500 million rupiah. This writing competition will be held from May 3 to August 3, 2023.

Two years earlier, this year the competition wrote Kwikku had the theme "A Piece of Story Behind 98". In addition, the previous year's competition that received works with the categories Novel, Webtoon, and Sampul Design, in this third year's competition Kwikku only underwent 1 (one) new category, namely Novela.

In organizing this competition, Kwikku collaborated with 5 professionals in his field who will be the judges to look for the best work, namely Dee Lestari, A. Fuadi, Erisca Febriani, Luluk HF, and Okky Madasari.

"We want to invite writers to share stories with the background of the 98' event for many to keep stories that may not have been heard before. Although this year's theme is quite serious and requires more effort in doing research, we are optimistic that this competition will still be able to find many new talents in the world of Indonesian writing who have fresh ideas with qualified writing skills," said Dee Lestari in a virtual press conference, Wednesday, May 3.

Dee hopes that the Kwikku Writing Competition can be the best incubator to produce new authors' talents in Indonesia. "This year's theme, which raised 1998's history, will spur participants to do research, which is one of the important factors in writing. It is an honor for me to be invited back as a judge," he continued.

From the start, it gave space and opportunities for anyone to appear and be recognized at the national level. So far, this competition has succeeded in producing writings from superior talents, "said A. Fuadi. I am happy and grateful to be invited back to be one of the judges," he added.

During the journey of writing, I became acquainted and met many talented novice writers friends, but did not have the opportunity to show their works to be more known to the public or to readers. With the competition to write Kwikku this year, hopefully it can provide opportunities for many writers to show their best works. Not only that, with this Kwikku writing competition, writers can also learn to be more consistent in writing," said Luluk HF, the best-seller writer who this year rejoined the jury.
