Cak Imin Visits SBY In Cikeas, Democrat: Keep Communication Ahead Of The Election
JAKARTA - PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin is scheduled to visit the Chairman of the Upper House of the Democratic Party Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) on Wednesday, May 3.
Cak Imin is planned to arrive at SBY's residence in Puri Cikeas, Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday, May 3 at 19.30 WIB.
"Democrats and PKB continue to establish friendship and communication as an important capital to maintain national cohesion for the realization of democratic elections, as well as to be free from intervention, intimidation, and fraud," said the spokesman for the DPP Democratic Party Herzaky Mahendra Putra in Jakarta, Wednesday, May 3, as reported by Antara.
He explained that the meeting between Cak Imin and SBY was still in the atmosphere of Lebaran 2023.
"This meeting, which is still in the nuances of Eid, is halalbihalal while discussing national issues. This is a good tradition. Democrats and PKB are political parties that have good historical relationships, and have many common views on national unity and integrity," said Herzaky.
During the meeting, SBY will be accompanied by the Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), Secretary General of Democrats Teuku Riefky, General Treasurer Renville Antonio, and the ranks of the Democratic Party's central board.
From PKB, Cak Imin will be accompanied by Deputy Chairperson of PKB Jazilul Fawaid, Secretary General of PKB Hasanuddin Wahid, Chairman of the PKB faction of the DPR RI Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal, and Secretary of the PKB Syuro Council KH Saifullah Ma'shum.
Cak Imin on Wednesday afternoon May 3, is also scheduled to meet General Chairperson of Golkar Airlangga Hartarto at Plataran, Senayan, Jakarta.

Registration for presidential and vice presidential candidates is scheduled to take place from 19 October 2023 to 25 November 2023.
Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning Elections (UU Pemilu) regulates that pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates are proposed by political parties or coalitions of political parties participating in elections that meet the requirements for obtaining seats of at least 20 percent of the total seats in the DPR or obtaining 25 percent of valid votes nationally in the previous election for members of the DPR.
Currently, there are 575 seats in parliament so that pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election must have at least 115 seats in support from the Indonesian House of Representatives. Candidate pairs can also be promoted by political parties or a combination of political parties participating in the 2019 Election, with a total valid vote acquisition of at least 34,992,703 votes.
