Search For Drowning Tourists On Parangtritis Beach, 5 Comb SAR Teams Including From The Air
The joint SAR team conducted a search operation for a tourist who drowned due to being dragged by waves at Parangtritis Beach, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, on Wednesday 26 April.
Public Relations of the Yogyakarta Basarnas, Pipit Eriyanto, said that as many as five search and rescue units (SRU) were deployed to comb both on the beach, sea, and air monitoring.
He said the first SRU conducted a ground sweep from Parangtritis Beach to the east on the Parangndog Beach cliff, SRU, two land sweeps from Parangkusumo Beach to the west on Pelanggi Beach.
Meanwhile, the SRU has three land sweeps from Pelangi Beach to the west on Depok Beach.
Meanwhile, the SRU four, with drone equipment carrying out monitoring around the LKP (last known position) with a radius of one kilometer, then shifted east to Parangndop Beach followed by monitoring with a radius of one kilometer.
"Then the sea SRU carried out a search using four jetsky units with a radius of one kilometer from the LKP," he said in a written statement in Yogyakarta, Thursday, April 27, which was confiscated by Antara.

According to him, the five SRUs deployed carried out search for victims in two times, namely morning to noon, then from noon to evening.
However, he said, from the results of the SAR operation until Thursday, April 27 at 17.25 WIB, there were still no victims, or they had not found any victims, so the search would continue on Friday, April 28.
Previously, three students were reported to have been swept away by the wave of Parangtritis Beach Bantul on Wednesday morning, April 26, but two victims were rescued by the joint SAR Team on standby at the location, while another victim was missing and is still being searched.
The two tourists who can be saved are M Nabil, a 16-year-old student resident of Subang, West Java, and Ziyan Gini (12) a resident of Subang, West Java. While the victim is in search, namely Fida Auni (14), a resident of Subang, West Java.
