1 Soldier Battalion 321/GT Died During Shooting Contact With KKB In Nduga

PAPUA - Kapendam XVII Cenderawasih Colonel Kav. Herman Taryaman admitted that a Yonif 321/GT soldier died while carrying out his duties in the Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains.Pratu Miftahul Arifin died on Saturday morning when the victim and the Yonif R 321/GT Task Force on duty in the Mugi area were looking for the Susi Air Pilot who was held hostage by an armed criminal group (KKB)."The victim after being shot fell into a ravine," explained Herman Taryaman to ANTARA, Sunday, April 16.When members tried to evacuate the victim, the KKB suddenly fired upon him. He admitted that he could not confirm how many victims died in the incident because evacuation efforts were being carried out."The weather is uncertain and affects the process of monitoring, evacuating, and coordinating with troops in the field," he explained.
