President Jokowi Asks To Complete Construction Tolls To Be Checked Again After Eid
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo asked a number of toll roads whose construction had been completed or operating functionally to be checked again after Lebaran before it was ready to be operationalized for motorists.This was conveyed by Jokowi after visiting Cepogo Market, Boyolali, Central Java, Monday, April 10."Tolls whose construction has been completed ahead of Eid will be opened to be used to reduce congestion, after Lebaran is checked again, they are ready to be fully operationalized," Jokowi said as shown virtually via the Presidential Secretariat YouTube account, quoted via Antara, Monday, April 10.Jokowi explained that a number of toll roads that operate functionally can be used by travelers in unraveling congestion.One of the toll roads that operates functionally for the Lebaran homecoming season, namely the Cileunyi – Sumedang-Dawuan (Cisumdawu) Toll Road.On the previous occasion, the Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi said the Cisumdawu Toll Road section 1, 2, and 3 starting from Cileunyi-Jatinangor-Sumedang-Cimalaka had been completed and supported the smooth flow of vehicles during the Christmas and New Year 2023 holidays.Meanwhile, the Cisumdawu Toll Road section 4, 5, and 6 from Cimalaka to Dawuan will operate functionally during the 2023 Eid homecoming period.The toll road will operate limited from noon to evening at 15.00 WIB."So, to our brothers and sisters who will go home from Bandung to Cipali via the Cisumdawu toll road, with permission from the Minister of PUPR, they can only be operated from noon to evening at 15.00 WIB," said the Minister of Transportation.In addition to the Cisumdawu Toll Road, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing stated that the Solo-Yogyakarta Toll Road section 1.1 will also be opened functionally for 6 kilometers.
PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said the route could pass five "traffic light" even though the route was short.
