JAKARTA - After years of focus on developing video formats, YouTube is now starting to enter online games on their platforms. This feature can only be accessed by Premium subscribers

This feature first appeared last September in experimental form and could only be tried by some users. However, The Verge reports that this Playables feature has been accessible since last week.

Currently, Premium users can access 37 simple games on Playables without the need to download or install their games. Some of the games that can be found are Angry Birds Showdown, Brain Out, Daily Solitaire, and many more.

Given that this feature is still a trial, Playables is only available until March 28 next year. YouTube did not explain further whether this feature would be relaunched after being withdrawn or not.

Basically, YouTube was born from a non-game technology company. However, YouTube's decision to include a game on their platform can be understood because several large apps have decided the same thing.

Seperti Meta misalnya, perusahaan itu telah membuatgameinstan selama beberapa tahun dan akan meluncurkan model distribusi untuk membantu developer memublikasikan versi betagame mereka di Facebook pada bulan November.

In addition, Netflix, which is a film streaming platform and series, has released a special exclusive game for mobile devices. This platform also intends to expand their cloud game to the public.

Therefore, the inclusion of YouTube to gaming services is nothing new. However, some users may not be very interested in this new service as the company has raised the price of their Premium package to 2 US dollars (Rp. 30 thousand) this summer.
