JAKARTA - On November 2, Meta announced a new way for content creators on Facebook to gain high insight. This feature is called A/B Reels testing.

This Reels testing feature is a new marketing and publishing method fromMeta to produce text on captions and thumbnails with the best performance.

The hope is that the caption and thumbnail used by content creators can reach more audiences. In addition to the reach of more, the resulting insight is even better.

To use this testing system, content creators can directly insert four different thumbnails or captions to test in the Reels to be uploaded.

Later, Meta will release all four captions or thumbnails added for 30 minutes. Simply put, everyone who sees the content within 30 minutes can see different captions and thumbnails.

After 30 minutes, users can see performance from each added text or thumbnail. This performance display can be accessed via notification from Facebook.

Thumbnails or captions with the highest range will be used as the main display of Reels. This display will remain the same until the user changes their own caption or thumbnail.

Meta says that this feature is already available on mobile devices. However, this feature will still be developed with future offers based on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

We are also experimenting with combining generative AI to help you create different text andthumbnail options in the future, Meta said in an official release.

Unfortunately, this A/B feature cannot test the caption and thumbnail at once. The content creator can only choose one in the test. So, make sure to choose the most needed option.
