JAKARTA - Microsoft is reportedly looking for ways to bring Artificial Intelligence (AI) features to various Windows 11 applications, including the Paint application.

That way, Microsoft Paint will be an AI-based application that can have the ability to generate canvases based on text commands.

A source said the AI features will be powered by the same technology behind Bing's Image Creator, a tool that outputs images based on user-generated descriptions.

In the image shared by Windows Central, quoted from The Verge, Wednesday, August 23, you can see that the Magic Paint button appears along with the sidebar. There, the user can enter a description which will then generate an image.

Users can also transfer the image to the canvas to make adjustments, which is not exactly how this works.

Additionally, Microsoft is also experimenting with bringing AI features to Photos, the Camera app, and Snipping Tools.

In the Photos app, it's possible that users can identify people or objects in their photos, then cut and paste them in other areas.

Meanwhile, the Snipping Tools and Camera applications, Microsoft claims, will add optical character recognition (OCR) technology to both of them.

That technology can be used in every application to identify text in photos or screenshots, which will make it much easier to copy and paste information from these files.
