JAKARTA - Planet Ban is present as a provider of free vehicle emission testing services at the Demo Day event organized by the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkop UKM).

At this event, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs collaborated with the All-Indonesian Exhaust Entrepreneurs Association (AKSI), with the aim of strengthening efforts to support the development of exhaust businesses produced by third parties other than the original manufacturer (aftermarket), which is in accordance with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) and regulations that apply to exhaust emissions.

The standardization of the exhaust industry is carried out to support the development of the automotive creative industry and to keep modified vehicles meeting the threshold for noise and exhaust emissions in effect.

This time, Planet Ban has the opportunity to conduct emission tests on a number of motorbikes that use aftermarket exhausts. From the results of emission tests carried out, it is known that 100 percent of motorcycles tested for emissions have a vehicle exhaust emission rate in accordance with applicable regulations.

Chief Operating Officer of Planet Ban Deden Hendra Shakti revealed, as the climate crisis worsens, Planet Ban sees that all stakeholders in the automotive industry in Indonesia need to move together in reducing negative impacts on the environment.

"Not only implementing environmentally friendly initiatives in the company's operational activities, but Planet Ban is also collaborating with third parties who have a positive impact on the environment on a wider scale. Planet Ban wants to reinforce the company's commitment to cooperate with all parties to create a sustainable automotive industry," he said, in an official statement received on Wednesday, March 27.

The parameters or threshold requirements for vehicle exhaust emissions currently refer to DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation Number 31 of 2008 where Motor 4 does not have a production year below 2020, CO is a maximum of 5.5 percent and HC 2,400 ppm.

On the same occasion, Planet Ban also presented services #Seaha Tenaga Baru which was able to reduce vehicle emissions. Based on research previously conducted by Planet Ban to a number of online motorcycle taxi drivers, service on average Ban Planet is proven to reduce their HC emission rate by 67 percent and CO emission levels also decrease by 73 percent. In addition, based on the same research, the average distance traveled by motorbikes (km/liters) also increased by 16 percent.

"With more than 1,000 of our stores spread throughout Indonesia, Planet Ban is able to provide service services to more and more Indonesian motorcycle users, so that efforts to reduce the emission rate of motorcycles can be realized in various regions in Indonesia. Our collaboration with the Kemenkop UKM and ACTION is a manifestation of our commitment to continue collaborating with various stakeholders to create a more environmentally friendly automotive industry," concluded Deden.
