JAKARTA - Volkswagen wants to present an all-electric Grand Touring Injection (GTI) iconic model that will arrive in 2026. This was confirmed by Volkswagen's Head of Design, Andreas Mindt.
Quoted from the Carscoops page, Monday, December 25, 2023, in an Instagram post, the designer provides a brief overview of the legendary GTI nickname. The original GTI Golf starts from 1975, which is limited to 5,000 sales.
"Until now, we have sold more than 2.8 million vehicles worldwide. In 2026 we will introduce an electric version of this iconic model," Mindt wrote, on Instagram's social media page.
In the picture made in the form of sketches, it appears that VW will use Golf's nickname for the production version of the electric GTI. Of course, it is worth waiting for a breakthrough from Volkswagen for the electrification segment.
