These Three Luxury Cars Achieve The Highest Safety Predicate According To ANCAP

JAKARTA - According to an assessment from the Australation of the New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP), three luxury vehicles, namely Kia EV9, Mercedes-Benz EQE, and BMW Series-5, have proven to have the highest safety level.

The newly released test results are based on a new testing protocol for 2023, which includes more stringent criteria than previous testing, as reported by Drive, Thursday, December 7.

Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV 2024 won the highest title with a score of 87 for the Protection of Adult Passengers, 92 for the Protection of Children Passengers, 80 for Pedestrian Protection and Bicycle Riders, and 86 for Safety Assist Technology. The EQE SUV got a perfect score in side-collision tests and provided optimal protection for front-chair passengers in front-front offset tests. This achievement earned him full points for the protection of child passengers in the two scenarios.

BMW Series-5 and i5 scored 89 for Adult Passenger Protection, 87 for Child Passenger Protection, 86 for Pedestrian Protection and Bike Riders, as well as 81 for Safety Assist Technology. Both models demonstrate good performance in physical hit tests, especially in protecting vulnerable road users.

Meanwhile, Kia EV9 achieved a score of 84 for the Protection of Adult Passengers, 87 for the Protection of Children Passengers, 76 for Pedestrian Protection and Bicycle Riders, and 85 for the Safety Assist Technology test. This car is highlighted because of the good Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) system and the Driver Monitoring System (DMS) feature to monitor drivers, provide warnings if you experience fatigue or microsleeping, increasing safety levels.
