JAKARTA - The U-23 Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong, has confirmed that he will not call more than three players from one club in Liga 1.

The agreement regarding the summons for the player was conveyed by the Head of the National Team Agency (BTN), Sumardji.

After seeing the list of players for Shin Tae-yong's U-23 Indonesian national team squad, he also explained that the list had been informed to each club competing in Liga 1 2023/2024.

"I think if yesterday saw the list of existing players, there would be no (call for players to the U-23 Indonesian national team), which is more than three players in one club," said Sumardji.

"I have also seen that the one-one player (list) will be called," he said.

Meanwhile, Sumardji, who is also the CEO of Bhayangkara FC, further revealed that players from his club were also called up.

"We (Bhayangkara FC) also have two players called, namely Witan Sulaeman and Titan Agung."

"I don't think there is a problem because it is for the benefit of the state as well. We will live whatever the results will be," said Sumardji.

The summons of players to the U-23 Indonesian national team cannot be separated from participating in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup which will be held from April 15 to May 3, 2024. Indonesia is in Group A with the hosts Qatar, Australia, and Jordan.
