JAKARTA Valentino Rossi's VR46 team opens the possibility of becoming a KTM satellite team in MotoGP for the 2025 competition season.

Currently VR46 is in the last year of contract as the Ducati Satellite team. Although there is an option to last for another two years, the possibility of changing the motorbike is starting to open.

"The most important thing is that we have a two-year (with Ducati) option that benefits us," said VR46 boss Alessio Salucci, reported by GPOne.

Apart from KTM, the team belonging to the MotoGP legend is also associated with Yamaha. This option has potential due to Rossi's good relationship with the Japanese manufacturer as well as his role as a brand ambassador for Yamaha.

Salucci is also open to both options as well as a defensive choice with Ducati. He emphasized that the three choices will be decided by his team later.

"I've spoken to everyone, I'm not ashamed to say it, with Ducati, with KTM, with Yamaha," he said.

VR46 lost Luca Marini in MotoGP 2024 who decided to move to Repsol Honda to replace Marc Marquez. In exchange, VR46 hooked Fabio Di Giannantonio.

Giannantonio will partner with Marco Bezzecchi on VR46. Bezzecchi, who won last season's first-class first-class race, chose to stay rather than move to a better bike with Pramac Racing.
