Losing Against West Ham In 'London Derby', Arsenal Failed To Return To The Top

JAKARTA - Arsenal are lacking. Playing at home at the Emirates Stadium on Friday, December early morning WIB, Arsenal even lost 2-0 against West Ham United in London Derby. The defeat thwarted Arsenal's efforts to return to the top of the standings.

The result of disappointing Arsenal because they lost points when they played home games. They failed to take advantage of the opportunities in the duel of fellow London City teams.

This is the second time, the Gunners have not been able to get full points. Previously, Arsenal also failed to win even though they had won but then drew 1-1 against Liverpool.

The poor result made Mikel Arteta's team miss the chance to reclaim the standings. With points 40, the North London club is two points behind Liverpool, which is perched at the top.

Liverpool themselves managed to win the top position previously controlled by Arsenal after beating Burnley 2-0.

Meanwhile, West Ham managed to climb one strip by shifting Manchester United. West Ham is ranked sixth with 33 points. Two points ahead of MU who dropped to seventh.

In that match, West Ham showed the best game. Arsenal tried to press their rival defense. But the Hammers also played attacking football so they got a good chance to score.

West Ham's efforts gave a positive result after Tomas Saucek successfully beat goalkeeper David Raya.

The goal started after Saucek scored a goal from close range. The referee had time to review the incident because there was chaos before the goal.

But referee Michael Oliver then approved Saucek's goal. The 1-0 score for West Ham lasted until the end of the first half.

In the second half, Arsenal tried to get back up by controlling the game. Even the Gunners fired a lot of shots into the net.

It's just that the defensive strategy implemented by manager David Moyes managed to stem the host's attack.

West Ham even managed to break into the Great goal for the second time. The visitors' goal was scored by Kostantinos Mavropanos when the match entered minute 55.
