Wins Against Sevilla, Lens Competes In Europa League

JAKARTA - Lens failed to stay in the Champions League even though he won 2-1 over Sevilla in the final Group B match at the Bollaert-Delelis Stadium, Lens, Wednesday, December 13 in the morning WIB. But Lens can still compete in the Europa League.

Lens had to work hard and needed a last-minute goal to win the game. However, the last three points from the group stage were not enough to bring Lens to the last 16 of the Champions League.

With eight points, Lens is only in third place. Meanwhile, PSV Eindhoven qualified for the knockout round after drawing 1-1 against Arsenal. From that group, PSV and Arsenal advanced to the last 16.

Meanwhile, Lens is ranked third. The result made the French Ligue 1 club compete in the second caste competition, the Europa League.

The match itself went tight and Lens had to fight hard against Sevilla who had been knocked out for occupying the bottom of the standings.

In the second half, Lens increased attack activity. Their efforts finally paid off through the penalty spot in the 63rd minute.
