Naturalization Process In Front Of The Eyes, Justin Hubner Undergoes The Oath Of Indonesian Citizens Today

JAKARTA - Justin Hubner's naturalization process has finally been in sight. The Wolverhampton Wanderers player will take the oath of Indonesian citizens (WNI) on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

The candidate for the Indonesian national team player will take the oath of Indonesian citizens is the Regional Office (Kanwil) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) of DKI Jakarta.

"The oath-taking (Justin Hubner) at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of DKI, Wednesday, at 09.30 WIB," reads the written news received regarding Justin Hubner's naturalization process, quoted on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

Previously, it was known that Hubner had arrived in the country in the early hours of this morning, after traveling from England to Indonesia.

By taking the oath of Indonesian citizens which will be held today, it opens wide opportunities for Hubner to defend the Indonesian national team in the 2023 Asian Cup.

The event will take place in Qatar from 12 January to 10 February 2024.

Justin Hubner underwent the naturalization process because he still has Indonesian blood from his grandfather, Ferdinand Rudolf Hubner.

Moreover, Ferdinand Rudolf Hubner himself was born in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on August 11, 1948.

Hubner became the sixth naturalized player under the leadership of Shin Tae-yong. Previously there were Sandy Walsh, Jordi Amat, Shayne Pattynama, Ivar Jenner, and Rafael Struick.

Not only Hubner, the plan is that the Indonesian national team will still add two other descendants through the naturalization process.

They are Jay Idzes and Nathan Tjoe-A-On whose files have been approved by the government at the DPR RI Plenary Session, Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
