MotoGP decided to issue a satellite team affiliated with Aprilia, CryptoDATA, from the 2024 championship on Monday 27 November for allegedly committing repeated violations of the participation agreement.

In a statement, MotoGP stated that this decision was taken by the MotoGP selection committee involving representatives from the FIM regulatory body, the IRTA team organization, and Dorna rights holders.

"The Selection Committee will review applications for new independent teams, which use Aprilia engines, to join the MotoGP class grid for 2024," the statement added.

Unfortunately, no details were given regarding the "repetitive violations and violations".

The RNF CryptoDATA team was founded in 2021 by the former boss of the Sepang Malaysia Circuit, Razlan Razali, after sponsor Petronas withdrew from the Yamaha Sepang team which had previously won several races.

They competed this year on Aprilia motorcycles and Portuguese racer Miguel Oliveira and Spaniard Raul Fernandez.

Razali, a shareholder of 40%, where Romania's blockchain company, CryptoDATA, has the rest. He announced before the season-ending race in Valencia last weekend that he would leave the team.

The Race website reports that NASCAR's Trackhouse Racing team -- which is jointly owned by rapper Pitbull -- is expected to take over on grids for next year using Aprilia motorcycles and existing personnel.
