JAKARTA - After not having a new work for a long time, Nidji returned with a single entitled Waste of Time. This song was written specifically by Guruh Soekarno Putra.

Meanwhile, the collaboration with Guruh Soekarno Putra was initiated by Musica Studios as the label that oversees the band. Through Waste of Time, Nidji wants to open his new adventure in early 2024.

Wrapped by uplifting music arrangements inspired by European-British music that Nidji personnel often hear, Waste of Time is an invitation representation for everyone to keep a positive side and be grateful for what has happened.

This song arises from the fruits of thoughts about the life that many people live out there. Sometimes we feel annoyed, confused, and disappointed with this way of life. Even though we are faced with events that don't match what we want, this song is a reminder for us to stay grateful for life and see it from another perspective," said Ubay, vocalist of Nidji in a press release received by VOI, Thursday, February 8.

"It could be that everything that happens is part of God's plan and a bigger universe for us and the surroundings. Anyway, life is sometimes complicated, but we'll just try to enjoy it," he continued.

During the production, Nidji personnel explored a lot. They want this song to be enjoyed by many people.

At the song construction stage, Nidji faced many challenges. However, this is their motivation to present songs that can be accepted by many people.

The process itself was assisted by Heston as a co-producer. Nidji was also assisted by a team from Guruh Soekarno Putra and the A&R (artist and repertoire) team Musica Studios.

In line with the message from his new song, Nidji hopes that the work they do during the production process will be appreciated by Indonesian music listeners.
