JAKARTA - Girls Aloud announced the release of the 20th anniversary edition of their debut album, Sound of the Underground.
The album was released in May 2003 after Girls Aloud won reality TV series Popstars: The Rivals the previous year.
Sound of the Underground landed in second place on the UK album charts, and included the number one single of the same name.
Last Thursday it was confirmed that the luxury edition of Sound of the Underground will be released on June 16 through Polydor/Fascination.
According to its official statement, the upcoming collection will serve as "the first of a series of interesting re-releases from the band's studio album".
