JAKARTA - Girls Aloud announced the release of the 20th anniversary edition of their debut album, Sound of the Underground.

The album was released in May 2003 after Girls Aloud won reality TV series Popstars: The Rivals the previous year.

Last Thursday it was confirmed that the luxury edition of Sound of the Underground will be released on June 16 through Polydor/Fascination.

According to its official statement, the upcoming collection will serve as "the first of a series of interesting re-releases from the band's studio album".

The 20-year anniversary version Sound of the Underground will come in 3CD deluxe format featuring two side-B bonus disks, rare and remix, as well as a 24-page buylet with new records and photos that have never been published.

In addition, the album was printed in the form of a disc for the first time with a limited number. Fans can also listen to the 3CD track list on the digital streaming platform.
