Salamullah, Sekte Administratives Of Lia Eden Called Sesat By MUI In Today's Memory, December 22, 1997

JAKARTA Memories of today, 26 years ago, December 22, 1997, the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) issued a heretical fatwa related to the teachings of Lia Aminuddin alias Lia Eden which was named Salamullah. MUI considers that there is no hadith saying that the Angel Jibril is still given the task of lowering religious teachings.

Previously, Lia Eden had admitted to being the envoy of the Angel Jibril. He got revelations like a savior. This admission shocked the whole of Indonesia. Criticism also came from here and there. Lia Eden is considered to have brought a deviant sect.

Religious matters are often a sensitive issue in Indonesia. The excitement of Lia Eden who claimed to be the envoy of the Angel Jibril in 1997, for example. This admission made Lia Eden like a savior. Lia considers Jibril chose her to uphold peace on earth.

His house in Jakarta was transformed into a Kingdom of God (God's Kingdom). The excitement of Lia Eden continues. All because Lia Eden already has followers, from property to commoners. They believe everything that comes out of Lia Eden's mouth is the teaching of Jibril.

A teaching that emphasizes Tauhid back. Lia Eden thought that Indonesia's condition was in chaos. Discriminating everywhere, from believing in a shaman to allying with a jinn. This condition continues to drag on without any significant change.

Lia Eden described that Jibril was furious and sent Lia Eden to complete a mission to save the Indonesian people. He also declared the presence of the Kingdom of God. Even he became like the mother of Maharaja Lia Eden.

Every word is like an order. His followers were ammunition for Lia Eden to act to widen the influence of the Kingdom of God in Indonesia.

"In the KINGdom of God, the principles of democracy and human rights are actually confirmed. The statement of Maharaja Lia Eden as the personification of Jibril, who is God's 'right hand', cannot be contested. They, the followers of the KINGdom of God, only know one word:ami'na wa ato'na (we hear and we obey) what the King ordered."

"However the order is irrational, undemocratic, and inhumane. That is the anomaly of Eden's Community's perenialism: failing to respond and providing a future religious perspective. This failure occurred because of perenialism which, promoted by the Eden Community against the current current flow of human civilization," explained Lia Eden's former follower, Syaefuddin Simon in his paper Tempo entitled Lia Eden and Future Religion (2008).

Lia Eden's presence with the Salamullah sect was criticized by many parties. Lia Eden was actually considered the culprit of fun. His confession as the envoy of Jibril was actually considered blasphemy against Islam. MUI immediately acted. They began to investigate Lia Eden.

MUI also decided that Lia Eden and her teachings were heretical. The narrative was stated in a fatwa that came out on December 22, 1997. The fatwa confirmed that there was no hadith stating that the angel Jibril was still given the duty of God to send teachings to mankind.

There is not a single verse or hadith stating that the angel Jibril is still given the duty of Allah to send teachings to mankind, either new teachings or teachings that are explanatory to the teachings of religion that already exist.

This is because God's teachings are perfect. A person's confession that he was accompanied and received religious teachings from the Angel of Jibril contradicts the Qur'an. Therefore, the confession is seen as heretical and cohesive, "the contents of the MUI fatwa which came out on December 22, 1997.

Lia Eden was born in Surabaya on August 21, 1947. He died of illness in Jakarta on April 9, 2021.
