Margot Robbie Incar Director Kate Herron For The Sims Film Adaptation

JAKARTA - Actor and producer Margot Robbie is starting to target the adaptation of the next film. Success with Barbie, he and his production house, LuckyChap are reportedly considering the adaptation of the game The Sims.

Robbie with her husband, Tom Akkerley and Josey McNamara and Roy Lee are reportedly working on the adaptation.

They also appointed Kate Herron as director and teamed up with Briony Redman as scriptwriter. Kate Herron is the director of the Loki series and has worked on the Doctor Who series with Redman.

Currently, Kate Herron is working on an episode of the second season of the series The Last of Us.

The Sims is one of the best-selling video games of all time with sales reaching 200 million downloads when it was launched in 2000. The Sims game presents the world of Sims where players can move and simulate human life.

The Sims is part of the series Sim which began in 1989 with Will Wright's SimCity. Apart from the director, no players have been announced in this project yet.

LuckyChap Entertainment achieved their success with the Barbie film, starring Margot Robbie in 2023. They also produced the film Saltburn which succeeded in becoming a topic of conversation and My Old Ass which was victorious at the Sundance film festival.
