All BLACKPINK Members Continue Contract With YG Entertainment

JAKARTA - The four BLACKPINK members extended their contract with YG Entertainment. This news was announced by the agency today, Wednesday, December 6.

"After careful discussions with BLACKPINK, we signed an exclusive contract for group activities based on deep trust," YG Entertainment said.

Yang Hyun Suk as the founder and producer of YG expressed his joy because the four members were willing to extend their contracts.

"We are happy to be able to continue our relationship with BLACKPINK. BLACKPINK will continue to do its best and even shine even more to represent not only the agency but K-pop," he said.

"We send unlimited support for their future steps," concluded YG Entertainment.

The agency revealed that they will release the latest musical material and hold a large-scale world tour. Even so, the agency has not explained when this plan will be realized.

On the other hand, the agency did not mention whether each member would sign an exclusive contract solo with the agency. It is known, Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo have individual activities for brands and music.

K-pop idols who have individual activities may have separate contracts from group contracts to carry out their activities.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK last finished its BORN PINK world tour starting in 2022. Last year, this tour officially ended last September in Seoul, South Korea.

Then individual activities began to be carried out by members such as Jennie with her new song and Jisoo who confirmed that she would star in her latest drama.
