JAKARTA - The Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) stated that the integration process of the TikTok and Tokopedia systems is still ongoing and is nearing completion.
The Director General of Consumer Protection and Trade Order (PKTN) of the Ministry of Trade, Moga Simatupang, said the Ministry of Trade continues to monitor the migration of electronic systems and transactions on the partnership applications of the two platforms. So far, the migration process has reached 70 percent.
"For the development of back-end migration, the system is currently all payment processes have been carried out on the Tokopedia system. Back-end migration such as sellers is in process but there has been a transition to applications managed directly by Tokopedia," Moga explained, quoted on Saturday, February 24.
Moga emphasized that the Ministry of Trade will continue to monitor intensely until the partnership process between Tokopedia and Tiktok is 100 percent complete with Permendag 31.
"Moreover, Tiktok and Tokopedia are committed to completing the migration process according to the time given by the Ministry of Trade, which is 4 months since December 12, 2023," he added.
The Director General of Domestic Trade of the Ministry of Trade, Isy Karim, also expressed the same thing. He explained that the process is currently ongoing and experiencing significant developments.
"The migration of the back-end system between the two applications is expected to be completed according to the initial target. We continue to monitor to ensure the TikTok Tokopedia application is in accordance with the provisions," said Isy Karim.
