Ahead Of The New Year's Holiday, Jasa Marga Calls There Is A Traffic Improvement On A Number Of Toll Roads

JAKARTA - Jasamarga Nusantara Tollroad Regional Division (JNT) noted that there was an increase in traffic volume (traffic) ahead of the 2024 New Year holiday on a number of toll roads, such as in Trans Sumatra, Sulawesi and Bali.

For the Medan area, 34,031 vehicles were recorded crossing the Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi Toll Road. This figure increased by 60.7 percent compared to the normal daily traffic in 2023 (21,176 vehicles).

For the Belawan-Medan-Tanjung Morawa toll road, 84,709 vehicles passed or increased by 3.7 percent compared to the normal daily traffic in 2023 (81,696 vehicles).

"The highest increase occurred at the Tebing Tinggi Toll Gate (GT), recorded 18,419 vehicles crossing the Tebing Tinggi GT towards Siantar and Tebing Tinggi or an increase of 119.5 percent compared to the normal daily 2023 traffic of 8,391 vehicles," said Senior General Manager of Jasamarga Nusantara Tollroad Regional Division Truly Nawangsasi in a written statement, quoted on Saturday, December 30.

Then, for the Balikpapan-Samarinda toll road, 12,068 vehicles passed. This figure increased by 19.2 percent compared to the normal daily traffic in 2023, which was 10,121 vehicles.

"For the Nusa Dua-Ngurah Rai-Benoa toll road, there were 58,139 vehicles passing or an increase of 31 percent compared to the normal daily 2023 traffic, which was 44,389 vehicles," he said.

As for the Manado-Bitung Toll Road, there were 6,714 passing vehicles. This figure increased by 22.2 percent compared to the normal daily 2023 traffic, which was 5,496 vehicles.

Jasa Marga appeals to toll road users to ensure that vehicles and drivers are in prime condition, adhere to health protocols (use masks) while in Rest and Service (TIP), ensure sufficient fuel and electronic money balance, comply with signs and directions from officers in the field.
