Gibran Meets Gus Miftah At Ora Aji Islamic Boarding School

Gibran Rakabuming Raka visited Ora Aji Islamic boarding school (Ponpes) in Sleman, Yogyakarta, after being appointed as vice president elected by the KPU.

The caretaker of Ora Ora Boarding School Aji Miftah Maulana Habiburrahman or Gus Miftah in a written statement said Gibran's visit to his Islamic Boarding School was to ask for his blessing.

"We chatted, please pray for his blessing as well as a form of his commitment to empowering pesantren and students. As he said during the last campaign," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 26.

Ponpes Ora Aji became the first Islamic Boarding School to be visited again by the elected Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"Alhamdulillah, we were the first Islamic boarding school he (Gibran) visited after the KPU announcement," he said.

Gus Miftah admitted that he was increasingly amazed by the figure of young people like Gibran. He said, the ethics of a Gibran must be imitated.

"This is the ethics of Mas Gibran that must be imitated, his position feels younger, it's not good if I'm the one who wants to, that's why he came here," he said.

Meanwhile, Gibran said that he met Gus Miftah to stay in touch. Gibran admitted that he had not seen Gus Miftah for a long time.

"Just gathering after voting, I haven't seen him for a long time. That's why today after coming from Jakarta, sowan came here while he was also empty," said Gibran.
