The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has begun to investigate the alleged connection between the Ferdy Pratama network and Murtala Ilyas in distributing drugs in Indonesia.

Murtala Ilyas is a recidivist in a drug trafficking case that was just arrested by the West Jakarta Metro Police. In that case, 110 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine were confiscated.

"Between Fredy Pratama and Murtala Ilyas, we love him for his relationship," said the Director of Narcotics Crime at the National Police, Brigadier General Mukti Juharsa, to reporters, Wednesday, March 13.

Allegations of Fredy Pratama's involvement with Murtala Ilyas are because these two networks use a similar mode. They pack methamphetamine using tea packs.

"That is the same mode, Chinese tea and Chinese tea. I explore this between Murtama Ilyas in West Jakarta and the Fredy Pratama network," he said.

In eradicating Fredy Pratama's network, the police continue to arrest their members one by one.

It was recorded that 50 members of the Fredy Pratama network had been arrested from September 2023 to February 2024.

In addition, in hunting for Fredy Pratama, the leader of one of the largest drug networks, the National Police held an operation for Escobar.

Based on the results of the mapping, the presence of Fredy Pratama is believed in the Thai forest. However, no details were conveyed regarding this matter.

"I assure him (Fredy Pratama) is still Thailand. But in the forest," he said

So far, only conveyed, the National Police will coordinate with the Thai police in the near future.

"Yes, we will maximize it, after Eid, we will try action. Maybe I will have a relationship (or) visit there or return to Thailand. We will have another joint with the Thai police, how will it go," said Mukti.
