Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) conveyed a political message ahead of the voting day for the 2024 General Election on February 14. "A few days away, 24 million Indonesians will exercise their voting rights in the 2024 election. More than 823,000 polling stations will be held from Aceh to Papua on February 14, 2024. From small ballot booths, the Indonesian people will make a big decision that will determine their fate and future in the next 5 years," AHY said in his political speech at JCC, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, February 6. AHY reminded all Indonesian people not to be easily divided just because they have different choices. Because the cost is too expensive. "God willing, we will end all political dynamics that have occurred so far with an election that is peaceful, fair and democratic. Tensions due to differences in political views and choices should not divide the nation, the cost is too expensive," he continued. The son of the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia hopes that the 2024 General Election will run smoothly and produce the president and vice president as well as members of the legislature that will make Indonesia more advanced. AHY also hopes that the Democratic Party can become part of this goal.
