PT KAI canceled and diverted the travel routes of a number of passenger trains (KA) due to flooding that inundated the route between Gubug Station to Karangjati Station in Grobogan Regency, Central Java, Tuesday, February 6.

Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 4 Semarang Franoto Wibowo said several trains whose trips were canceled included the Kedungsepur train and the Ambarawa Express train.

The train that was diverted was the route between the Blambangan Express train and the Blora Jaya train.

Franoto said PT KAI apologized for the delay and cancellation of train travel due to the flood.

"Prospective passengers whose train trips are canceled can process ticket returns at the counter or through the KAI Access application," explained Franoto, quoted by ANTRA.

Previously, floods that inundated the route between Gubug Station and Karangjati Station in Gobogan Regency, Central Java, disrupted the journey of a number of trains across Semarang-Surabaya.

According to Franoto, the point inundated by the flood was at KM 32+5/7 between Gubug-Karangjati. "For the time being, the location cannot be passed by the train," he said.

PT KAI continues to strive to make improvements to flooded rails so that the trip can return to normal soon.
