North Kalimantan Governor Reminds Companies To Improve Work Safety

"This award is an appreciation to companies that implement K3 in the work environment. These 15 companies have succeeded in maintaining working hours of workers without any work accidents for 3 consecutive years in 2021," said the Governor of Kaltara.

The governor said superior ecosystem development in addition to good regulations also increased understanding and awareness to all parties in implementing labor norms.

"The important key to developing a superior labor ecosystem is to build a good Work Safety and Health (K3) culture," said Zainal.

According to him, the success of the K3 Program will reduce losses, improve the quality of life and the human development index which is very helpful in supporting national development and increasing national competitiveness in the global era.

'I advise all workers to continue to improve the culture of K3, especially in the workplace, as a form of contribution in maintaining assets and supporting business dependence," he said.

"We invite and encourage company administrators to implement the Work Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) consistently in accordance with applicable laws so that K3 culture is inherent in every individual in realizing an increase in work productivity," continued Zainal.
