The Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Emphasizes The Importance Of Understanding The 2024 Election Supervisory Against The Cyber Crime Trend

SULTRA - The Regional Police (Polda) of Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) explained the importance of understanding the 2024 election supervisors regarding the latest cyber crime trends to ward off or take action against cyber crimes in the moments of the 2024 election stage.

"So, this can be an integral part of efforts to prevent violations during the election stage process," said personnel from the Sub-Directorate V Tipidsiber of the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Southeast Sulawesi Police, Ipda Muhammad Syarif while attending a coordination meeting (rakor) organized by the Southeast Sulawesi Province General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), in Kendari, Wednesday, January 24, confiscated by Antara.

He conveyed that knowledge related to cyber crime has been owned by members of Sub-Directorate V Tipidsiber of the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Southeast Sulawesi Police whose duties are to take criminal action in cyberspace.

"It has a big responsibility to ensure the safety and integrity of the 2024 General Election," he said.

In this activity, Syarif also hopes for a joint commitment from parties related to the 2024 General Election in Southeast Sulawesi to collaborate to create elections that are clean, fair, and safe from the threat of cyber crime.

"Through an increase in understanding and implementation of effective strategies, it is hoped that the 2024 General Election can run smoothly and be free from cyber disturbances that can harm the democratic process," he said.

In the coordination meeting, Sub-Directorate V Tipidsiber of the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police brought material with the title "The Cyber Crime Supervision Strategy in Election Stages".

The material became the main part of the Coordination Meeting to Prevent Violations and Supervision of the Stages of the General Meeting Campaign, Printed Mass Media Ads, Electronic Mass Media, and Online Media in the 2024 General Election organized by the Southeast Sulawesi Bawaslu.
