Regent Will Data On Railroad Crossing Without Guards In Klaten, Ministry Of Transportation-KAI Asked To Be Involved

The Regent of Klaten Sri Mulyani will evaluate the existence of railroad crossings without guards reflecting on the accident of the New Vendor of South Night on Sunday 14 January.

"We will convey this condition to the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) or KAI, because this is actually a railway track," he said in Klaten, Central Java (Central Java), Monday, January 15, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said, if you look at these conditions, the railroad track should be under the authority of the central government. Thus, if there is a railroad crossing without guards, a barrier should be given immediately.

"But, if this is indeed the authority of the regional government, we will record which ones need to be given a sepur bar (KA)," he said.

Previously, two people were declared dead in a New Night Train accident in a car with the number L 1485 JF at the railroad crossing without a JPL 215 KM 150+3 guard between Srowot and Brambanan Stations, Klaten Regency, Sunday, January 14 at 16.30 WIB.

Based on the police report, initially the New Night South Gaya train was traveling from Solo to Jogja on the downstream rail line, namely the right side of the rail from the direction of Solo, while the Toyota Agya car was traveling from Pereng to Simpang Tiga Toserba WS.

Ahead of the incident, when crossing at the railroad crossing without the latch, the driver of Agya's car allegedly did not pay attention to the arrival of the train, so there was finally a collision between the train and Agya.

Regarding the incident, the Public Relations Manager of Daop 6 Yogyakarta Krisbiyantoro said Daop 6 was also concerned.

"The victim was evacuated and declared dead two people. The victim was taken to Dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten Hospital," he said.

He said the incident was then handled by the Prambanan Klaten Police.
