The Bengkulu DPD Candidate Car Has A Parking APK At The PKPU Langgar University, Bawaslu Asks The KPU To Follow Up

BENGKULU - The Bengkulu City General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) conducted a study regarding the discovery of a campaign violation committed by a candidate for the legislative member (caleg) of the Indonesian Regional Representative Council (DPD) named Elisa Ermasari.

The violation committed by the regional DPD RI candidate chose (Dapil) Bengkulu's provocation, namely parking his vehicle with campaign props (APK) installed inside Dehasen University (Unived) some time ago.

"We have made the findings and have been processed through a mechanism for handling violations committed by one of the candidates for members of the DPD RI," said Bengkulu City Bawaslu Coordinator of the Handling, Utilization and Prevention Division (Koordiv PPPS) Ahmad Maskuri in Bengkulu, Thursday, January 4, quoted by Antara.

Based on the findings, Bawaslu has conducted a study and has sent recommendations to the Bengkulu City KPU regarding the findings of violations committed by one of the DPD RI candidates.

He said that the DPD RI candidate Elisa Ermasari had violated the General Election Commission Regulation (PKPU) Number 15 of 2023 Article (1) letter c, namely that the campaign props were prohibited from being installed in public places such as educational places that include buildings and or in schools and or universities.

"Bawaslu Bengkulu City recommends that the Bengkulu City KPU be followed up in accordance with statutory regulations," he said.

Ahmad continued, related to sanctions related to these violations, only the KPU can impose sanctions and the Bengkulu City Bawaslu only gave a statement regarding the discovery of violations.
